- Day 1: Tunis
Welcome to Tunisia. You will be met by our Meet & Assist representative at Tunis Carthage Airport and escorted to your vehicle for your transfer to your hotel for your first evening.

- Day 2: Carthage - Sidi Bou Said - Tunis
Our tour begins in Carthage where we will be visiting the Carthage ruins and the American war cemetery. The Carthage ruins are a fascinating historical site dating back to 9th Century BC. These ruins provide a glimpse into the once-great civilization of Carthage, displaying impressive remnants such as the Roman amphitheater and the ruins of ancient temples.
The American War Cemetery is a serene memorial honoring the fallen American soldiers of World War II. With over 2,800 meticulously maintained white marble headstones, accompanied by a memorial chapel, walls of the missing and a museum to pay tribute to these brave individuals.
Our next stop is the charming, picturesque town of Sidi Bou Said. Famous for its blue and white architecture, nestled on the northern coast with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. With its narrow streets, vibrant flowers, and hidden cafés, it offers a captivating blend of Moorish and Andalusian influences.
We now journey back towards the city Centre to take a walk around the Tunis Medina and the French Quarter. The Medina is a historic quarter brimming with labyrinthine streets, traditional markets, and stunning architectural structures. Notable attractions include the Al-Zaytuna Mosque, the historic Dar Ben Abdallah Palace, and the bustling Souk Al-Markazi (Central Market) where you can find a variety of shops. The French Quarter is a unique blend of French colonial buildings and charming cafés. Its landmarks include the Cathedral of St. Louis, the elegant Théâtre Municipal de Tunis, and the iconic Hotel Carlton.
We end your first tour day with a visit to Avenue Habib Bourguiba, the central thoroughfare of Tunis, the historical political and economic heart of Tunisia. Here we see the impressive grand Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul and the iconic Clock Tower, all contributing to the avenue’s rich history. Return to your hotel.

- Day 3: Massicault - Medjez El bab – Dougga – Tabarka
After breakfast we commence our tour to visit the war cemeteries of Massicault and Medjez-el-Bab. The Massicault war cemetery serves as the final resting place for 1576 commonwealth burials who lost their lives during World War II, 130 of them unidentified. The cemetery includes soldiers from various nationalities, including British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, South African, Indian and Norwegian forces. Medjez-el-Bab is the largest war cemetery in Tunisia. Within the cemetery, 2,903 Commonwealth servicemen who served in the Second World War are buried or commemorated. This number includes 2,000 men from the First Army who lost their lives during operations in Algeria and Tunisia from 8 November 1942 to 19 February 1943. It also accounts for soldiers from the First and Eighth Armies who lost their lives in the same areas between 20 February 1943 and 13 May 1943 and remain without known graves.
Our next destination with a journey along a breathtaking scenic route takes us to Dougga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Perched on a picturesque hilltop, these ruins showcase the remnants of a flourishing Roman city founded in the 6th century, boasting well-preserved structures such as an impressive theatre, temples, baths, and a Capitolium. Exploring these remarkable remains offers a captivating window into the rich heritage of ancient Roman civilization in North Africa. Head North-West to coastal town of Tabarka for your overnight stay.

- Day 4 : Tabarka - Enfida
We start the day with a visit to the Tabarka Ras Rajel War Cemetery, another well maintained burial ground, serving as the final resting place for 500 Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives during the Axis landings in Tunisia in the winter of 1942. Among the graves, sixty of the fallen soldiers remain unidentified.
Journeying along picturesque lanscape’s we head North-East to the town of Enfidha to visit Enfidaville War Cemetery. 1,551 Commonwealth servicemen are buried in this cemetery, including 88 unidentified. Most of the soldiers here died in the final battles of WWII from March to the beginning of May 1943. Drive to the amazing city of Kairouan for your overnight stay.

- Day 5: Kairouan – El Jem - Sfax
Welcome to the historic UNSECO world Heritage Site of the city of Kairouan. After breakfast the day starts with 2 very important sites in the religion of Islam: The Great Mosque and the Mosque of the barber.
The Great Mosque of Kairouan dates back to the 7th century and is revered as the fourth holiest site in Islam. Its architectural style showcases a fusion of different influences, including Arab, Byzantine, and Persian elements. The mosque features a central courtyard, beautifully adorned prayer halls, intricately carved wooden ceilings, and stunning geometric patterns. Marvel at its exquisite tile-work, ornate calligraphy, and absorb its serene atmosphere.
The Mosque of the Barber, is located within the Medina of Kairouan. The mosque is named after the local legend that a barber used to cut the hair of the Prophet Muhammad at this site, making it a sacred place of worship and pilgrimage for Muslims. Its design features elements of traditional Islamic architecture, including intricately carved decorations, domes, and minarets. The mosque’s interior exudes a sense of tranquility, providing a space for prayer and contemplation.
We now take a stroll through the Medina’s labyrinthine streets. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, explore local shops selling handicrafts and traditional goods and even savour authentic Tunisian cuisine at local restaurants.
Our final stop of the day takes us to yet another UNESCO World Heritage site, the Roman Colosseum of El Jem. This remarkably preserved amphitheater, dating back to the 3rd century, stands as a testament to the grandeur of the Roman Empire, attracting tourists with its imposing structure and profound historical importance. Drive to Sfax for your overnight stay.

- Day 6: Sfax – Monastir – Sousse – Hammamet
The last day of our guided tour begins in Sfax visiting the Medina and war Cemetery. The Sfax Medina, constructed in the 9th century, is a captivating and impeccably preserved historic quarter embraced by ancient walls and dominated by the Great Mosque of Sfax. Within the Medina’s enchanting ambiance, 113,000 residents reside amidst vibrant markets and meandering narrow streets, offering an authentic glimpse into the local way of life.
The Sfax War Cemetery consists of 1,253 Commonwealth burials from the Second World War, including 52 unidentified individuals. Of these casualties’ nationalities include British, Australian, Canadian, Indian and Greek soldiers. Most of the soldiers buried here died in attacks on successive Axis positions at Medenine, the Marith Line and Wadi Akarit, in March and April 1943.
We now head to the central coast of Tunisia to visit the city of Monastir. Here we explore the Ribat of Monastir and close by The President Bourguiba Mausoleum. (On the journey to Monastir keep an eye open to spot some flamingos).
The Ribat of Monastir dating back to the 8th century is the oldest ribat built by the Arab conquerors during the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb. It is also the most prominent monument of the city of Monastir and is a prime example of Islamic military architecture. Climb its impressive towers, roam its inner courtyards, and take in panoramic views of the surrounding area.
The President Bourguiba Mausoleum built in 1963 is a revered site honouring the legacy of Habib Bourguiba, the first President of Tunisia. It serves as a final resting place for Bourguiba (the late President), and highlights exhibits that provide insights into his influential role in Tunisia’s history. Inside the mausoleum you will find a small museum housing some of president’s personal belongings.
Our final tour stop takes us to the Sousse Archeological Museum. The museum was established in 1951 and is housed in the kasbah of Sousse’s Medina which was founded in the 11th century. Here we admire impressive collections of artifacts, including Roman mosaics, intricate pottery, ancient sculptures, and Islamic art dating back to as early as 2nd Century BC. Relax and enjoy your journey along the coast to your hotel in Hammamet.

Enjoy your full final day in Tunisia at your leisure in the coastal town of Hammamet, famous for its stunning beaches and resort atmosphere. Hammamet is also known for its historic charm, with a well-preserved medina. Explore your surroundings, visit the beaches, take a swim in the sea, soak up the sun or simply make use of the hotel pool and facilities. Relax and enjoy your final day!
