Itinerary
- Day 1: Amman
Welcome to Jordan! Upon arriving at Queen Alia International Airport, you will be greeted by our Meet & Assist representatives who will guide you through the immigration process and be transferred to your hotel in Amman.
- Day 2: Jerash - Ajloun - Um Qais
Embark on an extraordinary tour after breakfast, starting with a visit to Jerash, often referred to as the “Pompeii of the East.” This remarkably preserved provincial Roman town boasts attractions like the Cardo, South Theatre, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Artemis Temple, and the Nymphaeum. Explore the 14 Byzantine churches adorned with exquisite mosaics. Next, journey west to Saladin’s 12th-century Arab castle, Qala’at al Rabad otherwise known as Ajloun Castle, a masterpiece of military architecture.
Continuing our journey, we drive to Umm Qais, an ancient Greco-Roman town mentioned in the Bible. This Decapolis gem offers a captivating hillside location, providing sweeping views of Lake Tiberias and Golan Heights. As you wander through the remnants of these flourishing civilizations, you will feel an enchanting connection to the past. From the Macedonians to the Ottomans, these ancient gates have welcomed countless travelers, leaving behind a rich tapestry of history.
Return to your hotel in Amman for a restful overnight stay.
- Day 3: Madaba - Mount Nebo - Mekawir - Kerak
Our first stop today is Madaba, renowned as the “city of mosaics.” Immerse yourself in its long history, mentioned in the Bible and the Mesha Stele as an ancient Moabite town. Discover the stunning mosaic Map of Jerusalem, Palestine, Jordan, Israel, & Egypt at St. George Orthodox Christian Church.
Next, we’ll journey to Mount Nebo, a site of great significance where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Explore the fascinating ruins of 4th and 6th-century churches adorned with marvelous mosaics.
Driving via the Kings Road, we’ll reach Mekawir, the site of Herod’s Palace. It is believed that Solomon danced here, and John the Baptist was beheaded. Explore the site of Herod the Great’s legacy.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll visit the majestic Kerak Castle, built during the 12th century it is a masterpiece of Crusader military construction.
Finally we drive to Petra, where you’ll spend the night and get ready to see this amazing wondee!
- Day 4: Petra
Today we visit the iconic Petra, a mesmerizing archaeological wonder in Jordan! Dating back to around 312 BCE, this ancient Nabataean capital is a testament to ingenious engineering and cultural fusion. Carved into rose-red sandstone cliffs, Petra’s structures, like the Treasury and the Monastery, will be sure to leave you in awe. Embark on a tour through the narrow Siq, you will be captivated by the grandeur of the Treasury, an iconic facade that symbolizes Petra’s ancient splendor. As you explore the vast site, you will step back in time, imagining the bustling crossroads of trade and culture that once thrived here.
- Day 5: Wadi Rum-Aqaba
Embark on an unforgettable tour of Wadi Rum, otherwise known as the Valley of the Moon, where adventure and history blend seamlessly. Jump aboard a thrilling 2-hour 4×4 jeep tour, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, as you explore the majestic sandstone mountains and stunning red dunes. Immerse yourself in the enchanting Bedouin culture, witness breathtaking sunsets, and experience the magic of this otherworldly desert wilderness. We now head to Aqaba to your hotel for your overnight stay.
- Day 6: Baptism Site - Dead Sea
Our journey begins with a visit to the Baptism Site, believed to be the original location where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. This sacred site holds immense historical and spiritual significance and offers a unique opportunity for reflection and awe-inspiring moments.
Next, we’ll continue our adventure to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Here, you can indulge in a day of relaxation and rejuvenation. Experience the remarkable buoyancy of the Dead Sea’s salty waters as you effortlessly float, and revel in the therapeutic properties of its mineral-rich mud. The breathtaking views of the surrounding desert landscape add to the surreal experience.
After a day of bliss, we return to Amman for your overnight stay.
- Day 7: Desert Castles
Following breakfast, we venture east into the enchanting desert to explore some of Jordan’s captivating Desert Castles. These architectural marvels showcase exquisite early Islamic art and design, adorned with intricate mosaics and frescoes. Prepare to be mesmerized by the stunning artwork at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qasr Amra. Return to your hotel in Amman.
- Day 8: Queen Alia International Airport
Transfer from your hotel to Queen Alia International Airport for your flight.
